How to Use Essential Oil Diffuser Like an Expert?
Follow these instructions to use an oil diffuser effectively in a room or a hallway:
1. Choosing the RIGHT Location:
This is important.
You should place the oil diffuser at a location where it can deliver consistent fragrance for a long time.
Now, in a small home, you either keep an oil diffuser in a room or hallway.
You might ask then, “Where to place essential oil diffuser in bedroom?”
For room, I prefer using the side table as it’s near to the bed. Plus, side tables are usually placed where plug-in sockets are available.
Moreover, choose a middle location while placing the oil diffuser in a hallway. This way it can cover most of the area easily.
Another thing to ponder here is that this device uses liquids such as water and oil.
Hence, as a precautionary measure, place a towel on the table to avoid any mess.
That’s all with the location.
2. Adding Water:
Next step involves filling the water reservoir of diffuser.
Simply fill the water tank of the device with clean tap water.
Make sure that you maintain the water level according to the requirements of the oil diffuser.
Many devices already have water lines for easy refilling. But, if you cannot find it, then simply use a measuring cup for filling water.
Warning: Never overfill your essential oil diffuser. If you do so, the device won’t work properly. Besides, you will not be able to get proper aroma even at high diffusing settings.
3. Adding Essential Oils:
Add a few drops of essential oils to the water.
Now, here’s the catch:
Normally I suggest adding 5 to 6 drops of essential oils only.
However, if you want a strong scent, then you could increase the drop count to 10.
Lemon, Peppermint, and Lavender are the most popular essential oils. But, we’ll discuss some other oils along with different oil blends at the end as well.
4. Turn It On:
Plug the diffuser into a nearby wall socket and turn it on accordingly.
Meanwhile, if your oil diffuser has a custom LED settings interface, then you could change it as per your mood.
Sit back and inhale the fresh breeze from the oil diffuser accordingly.
Bonus Points:
Some bonus points while using an oil diffuser are:
- You could place an oil diffuser on a nightstand easily.
- Choose an ultrasonic oil diffuser. I personally use this type and to be honest, the scent it provides is long-lasting and quite effective.
- Don’t increase the intensity of diffusion if you cannot bear an extra aroma.
- In case of headache, please refer to a Doctor or stop using the oil that is triggering it.
To Conclude:
Using an essential oil diffuser the right way means you are getting the best out of it.
Follow all the instructions I’ve mentioned carefully.
Don’t forget to read the user manual thoroughly.
What? Is that it? Absolutely not!
I’m just getting started.
